I actually have to agree/disagree with the orig poster on some points. Selling items on ebay is really ****** up, but umm, buying them is even more  So where there is a seller, there usually is a buyer, why does it concern you? And the violation of the EULA should actually bother CCP, not you.
Then about griefing ... it needs to be defined imo. Griefing for me is not what gangs like m0o do, camping gates and shooting players. ItŠs within the game rules as mentioned before. I may have my very own definition of griefing, for me it is if someone is either using an exploit to overcome another player OR is abusing game mechanics that donŠt work properly, like the tracking down of stolen assets after a corp got robbed or ore thiefs in 1.0 space. That is griefing for me, lower then any common pker will ever get.
So what do you want those guys having chosen the pirate profession to do? Rp it, like give their character a background why he/she became a pirate. Give em 10 minutes and they could make up any fictive story possible - would you be more satisfied then?
I for myself donŠt bother too much for the game background anymore, since it isnŠt supported anyway (war between amarr/minmatar for example). So I completely rely on the content created by the players, and exactly that content is also advertised on the box ... there are pirates, there are cartels (alliances), there are good guys (like CFS alliance hehe) and bad guys (too many to mention). So I still donŠt get what your problem is... I donŠt want to make a joke out of you since I think everyone should be allowed to express his thoughts, but really ... I donŠt get your point.
Last example: we in CFS alliance DO camp gates, but we donŠt shoot peaceful players ... no, we hunt player pirates to keep em out of Khanid. Now in turn ... wouldnŠt that be griefing as well ... because, others have free passage. We actually grief pirates, go figure ...
Last but not least: please man try to goddamn understand that what Stain Alliance does IS legit ... itŠs even supported by CCP. 0.0 space IS the area of Eve where everything is possible and no holds are barred ... nerf that and I tell you Eve is abandoned within a week.
